Deleted playlist still show ups after being deleted from account

Solved!

Deleted playlist still show ups after being deleted from account

I deleted some playlists I made but they are still showing up on the home page, I've tried deleting them again but I always get an error saying something went wrong. I've tried listening to a bunch of playlists to see if they go away but nope they are still there. I've even tried logging out and logging back in, Uninstalling and reinstalling the player and I even tried removing every song and then deleting the playlist but nope it's still there...

Hey there @user-removed

Thanks for getting back to us.

Keep in mind that you have 90 days to recover any playlist you deleted. That can explain why you still can see them and get an error when you try to delete them.

On another note, the Home's recently played section updates over time depending on what you listen to. However, it might take some time for it to update (we can't confirm exactly how much since it depends on every user's listening habits).

In this case, we suggest that you keep listening to the music you like and that section will update eventually.

Hope this clears things up. If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.

Hey @user-removed,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

Sometimes, the changes you make to your account such as display name and other changes may take more time to be displayed on the account.

Also, to continue investigating this case, would you mind checking on a different device (using your own account) to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.

If after 24 hours you can still see the playlist on your profile, could you include the link or URI of the playlist in your next response to have a better look?

We'll be on the lookout.

24 hours they are still there and here are the links to them:

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/06f6ECez7pjl2E9Y4I0dXW?si=eb315b1ed2724db0

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4TVnQouu5VALyQNWO7uvQw?si=72a3c7a253b44168

I checked on my phone and the playlists are not there, they are just showing up on the desktop app I believe...

Hi @user-removed,

Thanks for the reply. If the playlists remain visible only on Desktop, most likely there is some corrupted cache/data there that causes the old information to still be displayed. Please try performing a clean reinstall as shown here, making sure not to skip any steps.

Let us know how it goes.

Sadly it is still there, I tried using the one from the Microsoft store this time and it still shows up...

Hey @user-removed,

Thank you for keeping in contact.

If it's not cache related, it's possible that the playlists were not properly deleted by the system. In this case, would you mind recovering the deleted playlists (by following the steps mentioned in this article) and deleting them again to see if it makes any difference?

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.

This is NOT solved. Spotify spends millions on artists but refuses to develop a better app for their paid users. More greed to screw over their users
