need to find a way to get rid the Facebook **bleep**, friend activity, etc. that appears on the right hand side of the PC app U/I

@DomPajot, we moved your post to a relevant Help board where it fits better.

 

You can hide that sidebar by going to Settings > Display > See what your friends are playing > toggle off. If it doesn't work, try logging out, restarting your devices, and logging back in.

If I remember correctly, this has been around for a while but previously one was able to just hide the side bar. This option seems to have gone away which is annoying. There seems to be a trend with UI changes to aggressively push certain things down the user's throats. The facebook banner is one example, the extremely prominent placing of podcasts is another. I really second this "idea". Please tone it down a bit again. Thanks.
