My Question or Issue
Spotify keeps crashing after ~10-20 seconds after login - i.e. open app , wait, app crashes with no error message.
Have already contacted support and used a test account that did work and no crash was happening.
Have already install reinstalled all combinations, flush dns, caches, update firewall, no fix.
Issue occurs for more than past 4 months.
Cannot find any pending issue on such case.
Any advice ?
I also thought it was working normally on Windows 10, but the same problem came back, I haven't been able to use the Spotify app on my PC since the beginning of this year. I'm tired of this problem
yeah, my case is the same, i upgraded to w11 and that problem appreared... im about to downgrade to w10 but idk, i found another guy in tw with the same issue as well.
i was thinking about like.... maybe its an issue with secure boot or tpm 2.0??
I don't know much about this, but a temporary solution I thought of today was to use Microsoft Edge and use the create an app feature on the Spotify web site, it worked well for me. I had completely forgotten this tool existed
i just made the same, thanks btw! i wrote a whole paragraph to the support team to work on it idk hope we got some fix soon
Good day @Vhsmadethis , @CZordan
so the issue is that Spotify app is completely off in Windows 11 Pro ?
I do see it working as well in an other workstation that has Windows 10 Home.
The issue in Windows 11 is now existing more than 1 year in my personal workstation
idk how they managed to have that issue for so long **bleep**
they probably don't know either 🤣
someone has to put this in ongoing issues, feelsbad
Hey folks!
Could you let us know what you see when you select the three dots -> Help -> Troubleshooting -> Show Logs?

Hello! I have the identical issue and have tried everything including the DNS server settings. I changed the DNS to the 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. I am very frustrated for I have had this exact issue of Spotify randomly crashing with no error message for over a year and I am paying for premium and not even able to fully access all of the perks of premium just through the web player.
Hello! Me and this person have the identical issue of Spotify crashing randomly and quickly with no error message. I have tried everything on this list including the DNS settings, using the 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. However I have not tried with the ISP settings because frankly, I dont know how to do it. This issue is very frustrating and it has been persistent for over a year and I am unable to even use the perks of premium without the app.
PLEASE FIX THIS. THIS HAS BEEN HAUNTING ME FOR OVER A YEAR :((
This is all I get
Hi, also had the same problem. Absolutely nothing worked for Windows and the Web Player also has errors. This is my thread.
The only thing that really worked for me: SpotX downgrade. Spotify new versions up to this day can't load my account.

My Question or Issue
I'm running spotify on the desktop app on Windows 11, and I normally have hardware acceleration on. Spotify runs great for a few minutes, but then hardware acceleration disables itself and the application becomes so unresponsive that it eventually crashes.
Attempted solutions:
- Clean reinstall, restart PC (deleted spotify files as well)
- Tried both windows store and spotify standalone apps
For me creating a new fresh account will work, but here's the interesting thing. I found out if you log in using existing account, bunch of error like ERR_NO_SUPPORTED_PROXIES and sp://oauth/v2/token failed with status code 500 or oauth:5 will show and then the app closes itself, but when you logged in using freshly created account it will show error ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED instead of ERR_NO_SUPPORTED_PROXIES. Hope it helps tho.
