Desktop app UI feedback about "Related music videos" in fullscreen mode

Solved!

Desktop app UI feedback about "Related music videos" in fullscreen mode

Hello,

I've identified some layout issues with the "Related Videos" section in the full-screen player on the Windows desktop app:

  1. Persistent UI Remnant: After the player controls are hidden in full-screen mode, a graphic glitch from the "Related Videos" section remains incorrectly visible at the bottom of the screen. This element should disappear completely along with the rest of the UI controls.

  2. Carousel Button Misalignment: The "next" arrow button for scrolling through videos is not aligned with the right edge of the screen. This makes navigating the carousel difficult.

I've attached screenshots illustrating both issues.

Thanks for the additional information, @3elGJnpc882t.

Upon further inspection we see what you mean and can confirm that zooming out a couple of times seems to take care of the "Related music videos" sticking out - kudos for figuring it out!

As for the "next" arrow button for scrolling through videos, it's actually intended to be aligned with sections/content below - Credits, About the artist, etc. Still, we're regularly looking for opportunities to enhance the user experience for everyone, so we’ll continue to innovate and test in order to find the right balance for our listeners. Your feedback on this is greatly appreciated, thanks for sharing it here!

Hey there @3elGJnpc882t

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. If you've not done this already, would you mind giving Spotify a clean reinstall with the steps here? It helps resolve different performance issues and get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

If nothing changes, could you let us know if this has always happened or if it started happening after a specific event such as an update?

Also, sending us the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your device would come in handy.

Keep us posted.

This problem happened in the last updates, I try to install but it doesn't work. I use winget to install Spotify.
This is the version installed on my computer: Spotify para Windows (64 bit)
detached-1.2.73.466.gd9dcf250

My computer:

Windows 11 Pro 24H2

Hey @3elGJnpc882t

Thanks for your quick reply.

We tried this on our end, but we couldn't replicate the first issue you mentioned. Just to confirm, are you using more than one monitor? If so, could you try running Spotify on your main monitor to see if that makes a difference?

On another note, would you mind checking if setting the scale and display resolution to their default values in your Windows settings fixes the issue? You just need to head to Settings > System > Display > Scale/Display resolution

Let us know how it goes.

Hello, I'm using a dual-monitor setup, but Spotify is only running on my main display.

I've tried adjusting the zoom level. I noticed that if I zoom out, I can hide the cutoff title from the 'related videos' section.

I have since reset the zoom to default by pressing Ctrl + 0

I'm using a 24-inch, Full HD (16:9) monitor.

I think increasing the spacing between the main content and the 'Related Videos' title would solve the problem

For context, my Spotify language setting is Brazilian Portuguese
