Desktop player will not pause

Desktop player will not pause

Spotify for Windows (64 bit)
1.2.43.420.gc7b23f70

The player will randomly just start playing music.  Once it starts, you cannot pause the music. It briefly (less than a second) pauses then starts again.  There are no other devices that can play/control this account.  I've seen in the forums similar issues with IOS & Android, but none for the Windows player.  This has been going on for months.  Closing the player and restarting doesn't work.  Uninstalling/reinstalling the player doesn't work.  The only thing I can do is close the program and wait a day or two before opening it again.

Hey @Robb4242,

Thanks for reaching out!

Have you noticed this behavior after performing a specific action (launching another program) or at a specific time of the day? Are there any apps connected to your Spotify account on your account page? If so, I'd recommend removing them to see if that does the trick. If you use any other software that manages automatic routines I suggest disabling it temporarily.

In any case, a short screen recording which captures the described behavior in action would be greatly appreciated. That way we can get a clear view of what's happening on your end.

Cheers 🤘

Yordan, Thank you for the link, I looked for the account page you posted and didn't see it.  I'm giving that a try to see if it helps.  I'll come back & mark like/resolved if it works.  The action/time of day was just random, sometimes I wasn't even using the computer it would just start playing.  I don't have any automated tasks, so hopefully removing Alexa and another app (which I thought I had already removed both) will do the trick.
