My Question or Issue

If you right-click on the song that is playing at the moment, the option "Remove from this playlist" pops up. If you choose to click on it, nothing happens.

How To Reproduce

  1. Play a playlist you can edit
  2. Right-click the song-cover of the song playing
  3. Click on "Remove from this playlist"
  4. See that the song is still in the playlist

Hey there @desvaters

Thanks for getting in touch about this.

Would you mind trying if this is also happening on a different PC as well?

Additionally, could you send us a screen recording of the issue happening so we can take a closer look?

Lastly, could you let us know the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your device?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Heyho @Eni,

I asked my friends and they tried it out as well, same problem for them.

I already attached a screen recording in form of a .gif in my original post, I think you can clearly see the issue happening there.

Hi @desvaters

Thanks for your reply.

Just to confirm, have you made sure to perform a clean reinstall of the app by following these steps? This is often an overlooked step, but it can be helpful to get rid of any corrupted files that might be causing trouble.

Also, could you let us know if you've noticed the same behavior in the web player?

Keep us posted.

Hi @Novy,

I tried a clean reinstall, but that didn't fix the problem.

The problem is not occurring in the web player.

Best regards!

Hey again @desvaters,

Thanks for trying and keeping us posted.

We've gone ahead and reported this to the right teams. We can't commit to a timeframe for when or if this will be fixed. In the meantime, you should be able to remove a song from a playlist not only by right-clicking on the name of the song in the playlist itself, but also in the name of the song in the Now Playing bar, instead of the album artwork.

Also, make sure to keep the app updated.

If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.

Cheers 🙂

I have the same problem in Linux Spotify

Hi there @AnD7801,

Thanks for your post.

Since Linux and Unix based operating systems are not officially supported by Spotify, we can't guarantee that the app and all features would work without issues.

Cheers.

I'm facing the same issue.
When right clicking on the song cover artwork (bottom left) or even on the title of the song at the same area (bottom left - now playing spot) and choose "remove from this playlist", the song is not removed from the playlist I have added it to.

Spotify for Windows
1.1.**bleep**.612.gb7409abc

The issue seems to be fixed.

p.s. **bleep**, the version is 1.1.sixty-nine.612 and the famous number seems to be banned and replaced with "bleep".

Hi @lostechoes,

Thank you for your reply with this information.

We went ahead and shared this update with the right team, who will look into it backstage. At the moment we're not able to provide you with a timeframe for a fix, but we can recommend keeping the app updated.

For now let us know if we can help you with anything else.
