Every time I open the Spotify Windows desktop app it immediately shuts down

I have followed every idea I could find - cleared the cache, uninstalled and re-installed it both from Spotify and from the Microsoft stores (several times) and freed up space on the hard drives.
It started happening a couple of weeks ago

Hi,

It's possible your antivirus or firewall is shooting down Spotify. Please be sure Spotify is set to be allowed through either.

Also, clearing your hosts file might help. You can find instructions on how to do that here.
