Excessive bass

I'm getting ridiculously excessive bass on my Spotify app in Windows 10 only, and only on one PC. I do not have any hardware or software EQ on my desktop PC and Spotify has declined to implement an EQ feature for the desktop app (even though iOS has one). I'm no tech dummy--I've been in IT support professionally for over 10 years. I cannot find any explanation besides that there is something wrong with Spotify that's specific to the hardware configuration on my PC. That's a problem since I can't switch PCs.

Can you offer any help at all? Why is there no EQ in the Windows app?!
