Forward on Mouse restarts

I'm having an issue with the Spotify Windows client where whenever I hit forward on my mouse button, it restarts the song I'm in. I have this button mapped to Numpad * so that I can use it as a push-to-talk button that won't affect other applications since it's highly unlikely for any application to use Numpad * as a shortcut. I'm not sure why it would cause this behavior in Spotify. I tried looking for some kind of ini file for Spotify to modify this but couldn't find one.

The mouse I'm using is a Logitech G502. Has anyone seen this before?
