My Question or Issue
How do I play a whole album or playlist? Currently it only plays the first song on the album and adds the rest to the end of the queue.
Here's how it should work:
- Add to Queue should add the items to the end of the queue
- Clicking play on an album (or playlist) should play that album in it's entirety (currently it plays the first song on the album and adds the rest to the end of the queue). Maybe a Play Next option, located right next to Add to Queue, would add the items to the start of the queue
Thanks
Hey there @BobGohd,
Thanks posting here and welcome to the Community! We'll gladly help you out.
Adding a specific song or a whole album to the Play Queue should place them at the top, right after the currently played track.
If the new items you add to the queue are moved to the end instead, we'd recommend that you try a clean reinstall to see if that makes a difference.
If that doesn't fix the issue, a couple of screenshots or a video would help us investigate this further. You can use the Insert Photos / Insert Videos option in the post editor to do this.
Could you also confirm if this happens only on one device or across all devices you use?
Thanks - Keep us in the loop!
ok here's the queue:
I go to an Artist page, find and album and click play on the album:
It adds it and plays the first song. The Queue/Next up page now looks like this:
The next song to play in this example is "Casual Affair" by Tonic.
It should play the whole Garbage album before going back to the Tonic album.
Note, it's not a reinstall, as it happens on multiple devices (including the webplayer) and on multiple accounts (I had someone else test it).
Thank you for responding, and I look forward to your solution.
Cheers
Bump. Having this same issue and know that reinstall won’t fix as it happens on every device. Is there a solution for this?
Hey @ChayBlay,
Thanks for your reply in this thread.
We'd like to gather as much info as possible. Can you share with us the exact make/model and operating system of your device along with the Spotify version you have installed?
On another note, did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event, such as an OS update? If yes, please send us the details.
Lastly, would you mind sending us a video recording of the behavior you're describing? You can attach the video in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google drive and make it public, so we can watch it.
Keep us in the loop!
