How do I completely uninstall Spotify??

How do I completely uninstall Spotify??

This is ridiculous!  When I try to open spotify, I get the mesage "The Spotify application is not responding."  I can uninstall it via the control panel.  I have tried deleting the root file and it says Spotify is still open and must be closed, however, there are no cases of the program being opened.  I've checked via Ctrl-Alt-Delete and nothing, and there is nothing on my task bar.  Please help me get rid of this god-aweful infectious program!

A couple things...

I can't open the program.  I have tried uninstalling from the control panel, and from change/remove programs.

I need another option.
