How do I disable the media keys for spotify?

So my usual setup is to have my local file media player respond to the media hotkeys and to play/pause spotify by opening the window and using spacebar. This usually hasn't been an issue but recently spotify started responding to the media hotkeys at the same time as my other media player which is not what I want.

Is there a way to make spotify ignore the media hotkeys completely?
