I can't play local files

Hello everybody, i have annoying problem with spotify. 
I literally can't play any local file. 
Bcs Spotify deleted xxxtentacion songs i love and i rly want to listen, especially King of the Death, i had to download it, add as local file and play. But the problem is i can't listen it. 
It says "This track is unavailable, if you have the file on your computer you can import it". Yeah i actually did that but it doesn't work! I'm not paying for this.  I'm triggered as fvck.

That sounds odd!

I need a little more information on this:

Your operating system and the version of Spotify (specifically, is it a Windows Store app or not)?

Does the file play anywhere else, like Windows Media Player or any other music software?

What extension does the file have?

Spotify supports mp3, m4p and mp4 files. MP4 needs Quicktime.

Lossless formats are not supported (including m4a).
