So I spent hours trying to find a solution for this issue to no avail. I came across 2 other posts that mention a similar issue, but still can't find a way to fix it.

Basically, random songs in my playlist are getting readded to the top of my playlist when I sort by "Date Added". Songs that I have recently played on my computer will have this happen to them, and they will randomly get unadded and readded to the top. I have tried the solution from the first post, but to no avail. Unlike others with the issue, this problem is present across all my devices that have Spotify. Is there anyway to roll back my playlists or some way to prevent this from continuing to happen?
Hey @-Avi3- ,
Thanks for reaching out to us. We'd be happy to help you.
Could you confirm if you've reinstalled the app and cleared the cache with the steps here?
Can you also let us know if the songs are mixed up on other devices or just one?
It would also be great if you could let us know what version of Spotify you have on the device/devices this occurs on.
We're looking forward to your reply.
Hi Elena,
I am hesitant to reinstall the app on my Mac because I don't want to lose the local files and re-add them to all my playlists. The songs are not mixed up on my phone so I do think it is a cache issue. Is there a way to clear cache or reboot Spotify without completely deleting it and reinstalling it?
I also attached a screenshot of what was happening when I tried to sort by most recent.
Hey @-Avi3-,
Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
We understand how this might be an inconvenience, but caching issues are generally resolved by performing a clean reinstall using the steps in the guide that @Elena posted. . We recommend this step since it'll get you the latest app version with all necessary updates and remove any corrupted files from previous installations.
If you have troubles with the local files afterwards, we'll happily assist you with those so everything runs as expected at the end.
Hope this info is useful. We'll be here if you have any questions.
Hello,
i'm having the same issue but on all my devices, first i thought it was only on my phone and i tried to clear the cache method you gave just above. then i check on my computer (mac) and i have the same issue here.
Do you have any other solution ?
thanks in advance,
best,
A
no, unfortunately i never found any solutions. The songs mentioned above are still in that order, but songs added after those are displaying in the correct order. so i guess we just have to deal with it
whoops i thought this was my original post about the same issue
Alright thanks for your reply !
