My Question or Issue
It's constantly saying I'm in "Offline Mode" and that I need to be online to access everything. (Error code:4). It says at the top "No internet connection detected" even though I have a perfectly good ethernet cable running into my laptop. I just downloaded the app a couple minutes ago and I have searched through the questions similar to mine but none of the solutions work.
Uninstall app, flush DNS cache (powershell as admin: Clear-DnsClientCache ) reboot, reinstall app.
It is Oct 2024 and this is still a thing. Get this NCSI check out please, it is annoying as f... and I have a pi-hole especially setup to block ALL M$ shenanigans, with their newest spyware "Recall".
It is in no way neccessary to use this NCSI garbage.
For those with a bit more IT knowledge and with the "You are not going anywhere"-mentality when they think about M$:

How is that Post marked as quote "Solution", when i cant even access the linked media as a normal user??? How can the Problem be solved, if the Solution is behind a link, which requires some sort of higher privileges to access the ressource?

For other users, the issue seems to be, for me, an issue with whatever login server validation is happening from the desktop app through my xfinity router. Closing the desktop app, connecting to my phone as a wifi hotspot and re-opening spotify and starting a song will often allow me to fix it, though it seems to break again after a couple weeks, probably due to something with the session expiring.
This one worked for me. Thanks for the suggestion. Way more helpful than anything Spotify suggested.
My question is JUST FIX THE DAMN THING?!!! Not all of us are computer programmers and wth!
i am having this issue too,
os: win11
app ver: Spotify for Windows (64bit) 1.2.69.449.gfda8591a

i seemed to fix the issue by unplugging my ethernet & plugging it back in
I am :D, though that's true. I seemed to fix the issue by reconnecting my internet connection
