Keyboard Sound Shortcuts Not Working

When I have Spotify as the focused tab, the volume up, down and mute shortcut buttons don't work on the keyboard. When I'm on a browser, desktop etc. it works fine. Also, if I have the sound mixer up, it works normally.

OS: Windows 7

Hey @Joe76Turrell, welcome to the Community!

What device and Spotify version are you running? Also, when did this start happening? Does restarting the app make a difference? You can also try logging out and back in a couple of times to see if it helps.

Same thing here,

my notebook is a dv4 2114br from HP.

if the spotify desktop is the main window the shortcuts stop working, I can speculate that it´s something related to key listeners on the app that is intercepting these key events.

my spotify version is 1.0.75.483.g7ff4a0dc,

win 7 home premium,

4gb ram, 1tb hdd, ethernet and wifi connected.

x64, dual headphones.

Only the volume related listeners stops working, so brightness is ok and spotify is working with the stop/play/pause/forward/backward buttons and remote controls.

reinstalled, logged off and in, restarted the computer, reformatted it and reinstalled os, updated the drivers, reversed them also, tested with another account.

nothing helped so far...

I'm using what I suppose is the latest Spotify version on windows desktop app. My device is a Dell Latitude E5410 Laptop. It began happening when I updated my Windows Settings, restarted my laptop and Spotify updated. I've restarted everything, logged out like you said, re-installed but nothing.
