So you're saying you can't connect to last.fm on any of your Spotify clients on any devices? That's strange, and understandably upsetting.
I found something that may shed some light on this:
Another user had this issue as well and they couldn't connect to it either until they noticed last.fm had new rules for passwords.
Be at least six characters long
Contain one or more numbers
Include at least one of the following special characters:
!"#$%&'()*+,-./:;<=>?@[\]^_`{|}~, or a space
So I suggest to try changing your last.fm password and try connecting again. 🙂
Let me know how it goes!
Hey @pedro47
That's weird!
I suggest to open your web browser and log into last.fm. Leave it logged in.
Then try connecting your Spotify to last.fm in Spotify preferences. It should open a new page in the web browser where last.fm asks you to give permission to this.
Let me know how it goes 🙂
Try performing the clean reinstall of the Spotify app by doing the following:
1. Close Spotify and uninstall it.
2. Go to %AppData% in Windows Explorer, and delete any Spotify folders you find in Local and Roaming.
3. Restart your computer.
4. Now reinstall Spotify.
And then try connecting to last.fm. 🙂
Keep me posted!
Have you connected to last.fm with Spotify before? (just wanting to know if it had been successful in the past)
One thing that may cause issues with logging in is when you have more than one keyboard languages set up and opening Spotify activates another keyboard language (different layout). Windows does that sometimes.
I suggest trying to type out the last.fm password in notepad or something and then copying it to the required field (make sure you're not taking extra empty spaces with it).
Have you tried connecting last.fm to anything else? (such as the scrobbler app you can download for local media players)
Let me know how you get on 🙂
