My Question or Issue

The album art/cover isn't showing on local files. I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling my Spotify but it's still not showing.

Hey @YUHKlNOBI,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

We'd recommend running a clean reinstall of the app. Please follow the steps from this Spotify Guide exactly, as this will assure that all app data is cleared completely, before reinstalling.

After that, make sure Spotify is closed and the files you're edititry editing are not inside the Local file folder on your hard drive. Edit the metadata of the files to make sure that the Album art is 640 x 640 pixels in size and export them in one of the following formats:

  • .mp3
  • .m4p (unless it contains video)
  • .mp4 (if QuickTime is installed on your computer)

Hope this helps. Don't hesitate to reach out again.
