My Question or Issue


Whenever i place a Local File Song into a Playlist, it just shows a way longer Playtime than it should, for example a 4 Minute songs, tells me its 7 Minutes long


How can i fix this?


also, can only official Artists set a Playlist into an Album?

I'm getting the same problem only the songs show as ~15 seconds instead of longer. The entire song plays fine, but would like to upload local files and keep everything in one place without having to worry**bleep** like this.

Thanks for reaching about this on the Community!

Let's try to tackle this issue with some troubleshooting 🙂 First you can try to log out from everywhere and then to do a soft reset (turning off and on again) of your used devices.


Try to move your files in a different folder and then try to synchronize them once again. It could be helpful to also check out the supported file formats here, and to make sure that your local files came form legal sources.

We'd suggest that you also check if your devices run the latest versions of the Spotify app, and if needed to perform a clean reinstall.
