My Question or Issue

I use the Windows app, and any time the app is force closed, all data since I last opened the app is lost, including history and queue. The queue resets to what it was the last time I opened the app.

This has been going on for years, but has been a bad issue recently, when Windows Updates cause force quits, and my new earbuds cause force quits every week or so. If I forget to safely close the app overnight, that means 2 or more days of lost data.

I'm sorry to hear this.

Have you tried reinstalling your app to see if that fixes this issue permanently? If not here's a step by step tutorial.
