Since Spotify is obviously not listening to the users try using the app "Genius" in addition to Spotify. It's free and it recognizes almost all Lyrics. Deezer has a built-in Lyrics feature, though..
Just curious - why do you all need the lyrics feature so badly?
I used to use it occasionally, and I'd like to see it back again, but for me it's nothing like a deal-breaker. Most of the time, they were wrong anyway.
If I really want to know what the lyrics are, I just Google it. It's not like I'm doing karaoke.

That's true but this thread is for a desktop solution on computers. Genius only works with Spotify on phones.
So far the only solution I've found for this is the beta MusixMatch which I mentioned on the previous page.

That's your personal experience. In my experience Spotify lyrics were mostly accurate and made Spotify more enjoyable for me.
There are a few reasons people want them and they've all been mentioned in the pages previously so I'm not sure why you're asking that question but here you go:
Thanks for answering my question - you seem a bit riled that I asked the question, but I'm not trolling, just genuinely curious. I'll admit that I haven't read the whole thread because a lot of what I have read is repetition of people saying they're going to leave, or they're not getting what they paid for, or that Spotify don't care about their customers, and it's 85 pages long. However, I was curious to see why people are so passionate about the loss of this feature.
I'm not criticising or belittling that passion, it's just not one I share.
I hadn't thought of points 1 or 2. I do sometimes Google lyrics if I can't make them out, but I can see how that wouldn't be practical on a regular basis. And music is an excellent way to help with languages. And although I like to sing along to music, I tend to do that in the car so lyrics wouldn't help me much while I'm driving.
I guess for me, the main reason I pay my premium subscription is to get unlimited streaming of music that I otherwise wouldn't have access to, and all the other features are gravy (they're nice to have, but I don't mind if I don't have them). Spotify don't tie you in to a contract though, so it must have other advantages over services that do provide lyrics, or surely people would just spend their money elsewhere?
There is a lot of Reson
For Example:
Read the lyric for Good Hearing the World is nessery for Memorize the song is necessary
For Me Lyric is important because whit this Tools i can improve my english language with high accuracy and At least Cost (Time & ...)
Please enable the lyrics function again!

So what's the latest on adding LYRICS to songs in Spotify playlists??
I've been waiting for almost a year (I think?) for Spotify to at least bring back some kind of lyric feature, the way it was removed so suddenly wasn't right and Spotify isn't as entertaining and pleasurable anymore. The lyrics feature was my favourite part of Spotify and I don't understand why it had to be removed anyway, it wasn't detrimental to Spotify in any way. Take a look at all the complaints around the internet and do something about it.
Its 2017, where's the lyrics? are you guys still fixing it?
We want lyrics back!
Awesome, almost a year later and... lyrics are still missing...
its been a while now. We still dont have a solution ?
It's time to quit spotify subscription.
I was hoping when i went to the last page of this forum that I would find the solution.. Such a shame.. Why this 'hold'? Where are indeed 2017, olmost starting the summer.
Jumping on this bandwagon because I was just getting a "Behind the lyrics" playlist highlighted for me on my spotify desktop app, but I CAN'T SEE IT.
Terrible that you tell us to "Watch your screen as you listen to see lyrics, fun facts, and artist stories from Genius!"
Don't advertise mobile-only features to me on desktop.
Lyrics is a fun feature. That should be more than enough reason to get it back. Please do.
In all this time we didn't have a lyrics feature you could have implented a system where users insert the lyrics, your own lyrics system, i'm sure it would be really big by now
