Media keys not working

Hello,

unfortuanlly the media keys of my Dell laptop are ignored by Spotify-Desktop.

The keys do work with other applications.

Spotify also doesn't react, when there is no other media Player (oder Google Chrome) running and even, when Spotify is in the foreground and hase focus.

Any ideas?

What operating system and Spotify version are you running? Also, how long has this been going on? Did it start happening after an app update?

Does restarting the app make a difference?

thanks for your answer.

I use Win 10 Pro x64, Spotify Version 1.0.75.483.g7ff4a0dc.

It is the first time, I installed Spotify on this computer. The media keys have never worked with Spotify, but the do with other media players.

We know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting you device? If that doesn't help, we'd recommend a quick reinstall. Just follow the steps here. 

If you're still having trouble, could you let us know which keyboard you're using? Are you able to make any changes to your media keys within Settings?

As I am a software developer restarting the device and reinstalling the software had been the first thinks I tried. 😄  But without success.

I am working on a Dell Precision M4700 laptop with Win10 x64. I was not able to find any settings-GUI for the media keys.
