My Question or Issue

I can't play music on my desktop app on my new Windows 10 laptop. I've only had the laptop for a week and it worked for the first few days but now it stopped. If I click play on a song, nothing happens, the bar at the bottom doesn't even show the song information. As you can see on the screenshot, the play button simply switches to a pause button, but no song title or progress is shown and there's no sound. If I try to open a playlist, it doesn't work either. I can only look at singles/albums right now. 

The only way I'm getting it to work is by using my phone as a "remote" and selecting "play on my laptop" on there. On mobile, everything works without an issue. 

 

I've tried looking for a solution here. My Spotify is not muted, the default is set to the correct output device, my Windows is up to date, I've tried downloading the app through the Spotify website and through the Microsoft Store and I've also deleted my hosts file. Nothing seems to make a difference. Thankful for any advice.

Windows did some automatic updates today and now it seems fixed. 🙂 Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention to what kind of updates these were because I didn't expect them to fix my Spotify issue. But they did!
