My Question or Issue
I made my Spotify accound around a year ago on my phone and when I got a new laptop last summer I installed the app there as well and everything worked fine. However, I didn't get the most recent update on my laptop, and it has been bugging me but I don't know how to fix it. Today I made an account for my brother on his phone, and when I logged into his account on my laptop, the new update was there. But when I changed it back to my account, it was the old version again. I really don't know what the problem is, and if anyone has an idea how to fix this I would be so grateful.

The new UX will be enabled on your account soon. It's not dependent on version updates as much, you'll just open Spotify one morning and see the new user interface. 🙂
