No Sound

Hi.

Ive been having an issue with spotify on my computer it will not play any songs but the timeframe of the song starts but no sound is coming out, when i switch to my screens speakers it works but not my headset. it works when i use the web player though. and i am hearing songs from spotify and not local on my pc.

What ive tried and checked so far

- my headset is default for sound

- hardware acceleration have been switched on and off ( tried both )

- ive reinstalled spotify

- it is not muted in the mixer

ive searched far and wide for a solution on the forum but no luck.
