One person not showing up on friend activity?

My Question or Issue

Only some of my friends are showing up on friend activity. I have looked at threads which said that it's been fixed but they're still not showing up on my activity. And no, they haven't disabled it on their end. Please help.

I have the exact same problem back in February, then it fixed randomly one day.

Today it has happened today, people have simply disappeared who were there moments before?

Actually, it might have sorted itself out. I made changes to my account settings yesterday and I'm guessing the Friend Feed cleared itself. I'm now seeing activity from Friends since I made the changes.

Yes yesterday I also had certain friends entirely vanish from my feed. I have tried restarting my spotify, my pc, disabling and enabling my spotify feed many times. I have tried to unfollow and refollow those users, I have cleared the entire spotify cache. I have tried all of this repeatedly many times since yesterday with no luck.

I reckon, from my experience, my Friend Feed reset itself when I tinkered with settings/account and I'm now seeing them filter back in as their activity is logged since my tinkering. Maybe leave things as they are then have a look once you know Friends have been active.

I dont know about you guys, but my problem was randomly resolved. Perhaps spotify found the cause or this is a coincidence. However, for me this is now working well again.

@starkid Have you tried a clean reinstall of the Spotify app? This will remove corrupted data that potentially could be causing the issue. 

If this persists after the clean reinstall, try logging in to your Spotify account on another device and let us know if you observe the same.

this persisted after i tried a clean reinstall and after logging in on a different device. i also tried following and unfollowing the specific user. if i follow someone else they show up, but if i try following the specific user they do not show up. i tried disabling and enabling show friend activity and that did nothing to help the situation either. 😞
