Opening Automatically

My computer is rather slow and I can't have too many programs running at once. So Spotify opening automatically really slows down my computer. Is there any way that I can change the settings of my Spotify account so that it doesn't open when I turn on my computer? Also, how do I turn it off, because closing the screen doesn't seem to work...

I think it's BS for Spot to not has tech support. The program drives me nuts, constantly popping open on my Mac... I will completely delete it and stop paying for pro if this continues.

Do you use Growl? It's been reported Growl will make Spotify open for some reason.

Hi! I am on a Mac and I have 'do not open' checked in preferences AND just uninstalled Growl but I still get Spotify opening in startup. Any clues?

I have the same problem (also windows 7) whatever I do , mark the fact that I do not want spotify to open automatically, or change settings in Windows not to open automatically .. Spotify continues to start automatically (sometimes changes my options, sometimes the open not to start automatically is stil there) ... very annoying on my desktop as it takes a lot of resources and as most of the time I do not use spotify a lot on my desktop (only to organize things, once a month - I use spotify on my mobile devices to play the music) ... Is it due to (frequent) reinstallations of Spotify or is it a typical windows 7 problem ?? Is there any Spotify support on this issue ?

I bailed out on them.. too many other places for media, I dint need to mess the spot
