I never asked for, or was never asked to participate in this forced downgrade. As a paying customer i want the old version back NOW.
let me out of this hellhole!
I have not gotten it yet, but reading the post about it has me terrified of it being installed soon. It seems like zero improvements and tons of serious regressions in functionality for the way that I use spotify. The one and only positive thing seems to be that it is "prettier". I don't need spotify to be pretty. I need Spotify to listen to music, discover music, and arrange my music library. I want spotify to do that well. Not be "pretty".
Hi there folks,
Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!
We understand that it might be frustrating when the way the app looks and functions changes. This is why we've created the New Desktop Experience feedback thread. You can head over there and leave any feedback you have, which will help our developers improve the app in one of the next updates.
Hope you find this info useful. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have more questions.

Frustrating? Frustrating is an understatement given that the thread you linked is - as of today - up to 48 pages long... full of paying customers finding ourselves in a BETA we never agreed to, subjected to a worse-in-every-way version of what we had before.
What is it you don't understand about the concept that paying customers don't' want to be beta testers for your application development team? I pay $120 a year, I don't want to start writing bug reports and suggestions so your new application can become as functional and practical as the perfectly fine old application.
If you want beta testers, setup a program for people who like to tinker with a not 100% functional application. In other words: make the beta test program an opt-in. Don't force this on paying customers without even an opt-out.
Weak and evasive response.
Why don't you let people opt-out? Why are you actively refusing to even type out those words? This forum hasn't given any proper answers and the new "update" of today (30 Nov) fixes barely anything. We want to old version and you, as well as your collegues, refuse to participate in the conversation we are trying to have. So much for "help" on the "community" forums.
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
