[Other] Desktop app - Low volume on startup

[Other] Desktop app - Low volume on startup

When opening the desktop (Windows 10) Spotify application, the the volume is always turned almost all the way down - about 10-15% of max volume.

Is this a bug with the application, or have I accidentally changed a setting in Windows? This does not occur with other programs.

Hi! Same issue here! I've not changed anything that can cause this behaviour. Have you been able to solve it?

Hey @mellamojuancito,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Go to Settings > Audio Quality > Turn on Normalize Volume and set it to Normal or Loud.
  • Do clean reinstall following these steps. This way all app cache will be cleared before you install the newest version of the app available. Corrupted cache might be causing the app to not remember the volume level you've set manually before closing it.

Note that this issue might be related to your specific sound set up, in which case there might not be a solution which we can offer from our end.

Keep us posted on how you get on with this.
