My Question or Issue

I have a lot of playlists as albums in folders and subfolders. This is a little hard to explain but I have 14 main folders and they're divided into subfolders by genre. I had my Pop, Rap, R&B, Rock and World folders switch places with the contents of my metal folder. While trying to correct it I had the contents of my Thrash (subfolder within Metal) spill out of its folder. I tried deleting and remaking the Metal folder and correcting it but wonky things keep happening with folders and playlists switching places and spilling out into each other. Significantly, if I go to the web player all the folders are where they should be and not all over the place and crazy. I do have over 8,000 playlists (since I ran into a limit with saved albums I started saving them as playlists and have been building my library for like ten years so it's important to me). Whenever I try to put the right subfolders into the right folders again on the Windows app there's a lot of spilling out and switching places and it's just a big mess. I've uninstalled the Windows app and am just currently using the browser player. I've checked and the weirdness isn't reflected on my mobile app either--it only seems to be happening in the desktop app.

I forgot to mention this started a few days ago after the desktop app auto-updated.

Hey @dantecervantes

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

Just to confirm, have you performed a reinstall of the app by following these specific steps? Also, we'd like to know if you've re-downloaded the app from the Microsoft Store or from our website.

On another note, sending us a screen recording of the issue happening would come in handy. You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

Lastly, keep in mind that having large playlists can have an impact on the app's performance.

Let us know how it goes.
