My Question or Issue

There are already a lot of threads about this. But this bug is still not fixed yet.

Podcasts always play in reverse order. (new to old)

But i want to hear them from old to new.

I can change the display order. I can also filter out the episodes i already heard. But this doesn't change anything. It still plays in reverse order, and also filtered episodes.

I already reinstalled Spotify twice. It didn't help.

Please fix this.

I agree with the above comprehensive response from @ChildeRoland, my only addition is that I have no experience with Android, however it has been prevalent over the last few years of iOS, and it has done is with Win10X64 app (all updates and spotify versions up to date - until the recent end of Win10 support) Nothing has ever changed it, I have removed the apps from iPhone & PC, cleared caches, new iPhone, fresh install etc, still the same issue as described previously & above. I am really surprised that Spotify Support are not able to easily replicate this issue!
I forgot to add, that just as @ChildeRoland mentioned, the only reliable workaround is to create a playlist which is an identical copy of the podcasts ensuring that they are in date produced order, however my gripe about this method, is that if I say find a podcast series that takes my interest, it might have started some considerable time ago, and there are several hundred if not in the thousands, that I need to populate in to a playlist, however there is no bulk select function, I have to add each podcast in order 1 by 1 in to the new playlist, just so I can make sure they play in order, when it would be inconvenient or unsafe to try and amend the play order (mainly the car handsfree) however note this is not limited to handsfree in the car, it does it when sat at my desk on my PC, but at least I can fix it easily enough (despite the serious frustration)

Hey everyone,

Thanks for raising this on the Community!

We've had an in-depth look into all replies in this thread and it seems some reports might be slightly different compared to each other, which prevents us from narrowing this down to a particular root cause at this moment. This behavior will, however, remain on our radar, so keep the reports coming if you're experiencing this.

With more info, we should be able to find the pattern more efficiently and get to a solution within a shorter timeframe. In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify, so you don't miss out on any updates.

We're just a post away if anything else appears. Take care!
