Stop the sync between devices

Stop the sync between devices

I want to prevent Spotify synchronizing between the devices I use. When I'm in the office of in the car I like to listen to certain songs, but while I'm at home on my desktop I want to listen to different sort of music.

Please do not suggest use playlists, because that is not a solution, but merely a workaround. There is no way I will remember at what song I stopped listening on my PC the day before, I just want to resume from where I left off without thinking about it.

Shameless copy of this post, but since that was neglected into oblivion...

Hey @Richard_Bartonicek, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵

It is not currently possible to split your listening activity. However, there are some other options that you can try to ensure that your listening from a particular session doesn't carry over suggestions or history to your main one.

Explore these features for more: Private Listening, Recent Activity, and Your Taste Profile.

Please note that offline listening is not a viable solution if you plan to use it, as your listening activity will be synced once your device connects to the Internet.

Let me know if you need anything else, or feel free to suggest an idea on the ideas board🙂

Hello Amay,
"However, there are some other options that you can try to ensure that your listening from a particular session doesn't carry over suggestions or history to your main one."
You do realise that this answer does not adress my point in ANY WAY, don't you.
it's not about carrying over "suggestions". I have one profile because I want those suggestions.

It's about carrying over THE PLAYED ITEM. And that I don't want.

I didn't want someone not working for Spotify to tell me I correctly didn't find a feature.
I wanted someone from Spotify directly to jump in and say: "don't worry, we're on it, will be part of next release."
