This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

Do you know if Tidal is also forcing podcasts as much as Spotify? I'm fed up with paying for music service and have to constantly see ads for shows that I have no interest in. Android car app is even worse, there's only podcasts 🤦🏼

I want to pay for music I enjoy, not for commercials.

Podcasts are totally optional on Tidal. It's where I went to after quitting
here and they are still getting my money all these months later. I wonder
why!

It sounds to me like you need to cancel your subscription from inside iTunes or your Apple ID.

If you don't have an iOS device, you might check under your Google Play store.  I don't know anything about Andriod, but you might have options under it. On an iOS it's under Apple ID. On a PC, it's in iTunes>Store

If all else fails, just tell your bank to block payments to to Spotify.

FFS give us option to remove**bleep** from home page!!

For some reason now over a week i have some shitty podcast with skeleton/scary head jumping at me every f*c*ing time i start spotify. And i cant remove/hide it!!

Are you fking nuts? 

Though this actually happened when i upgraded to premium trial, didnt had such**bleep** on free tier. So for me there is no reason to pay for premium if i get fcking worse service!

i have a suggested podcast that’s very erotic and disgusting i am so **bleep** about the fact that spotify lets users make podcasts and playlists with vaginas and boobs. what the **bleep** is wrong with spotify this is not ok. you guys should make an option to block podcasts or playlists because now i have a middle aged man touching a girls boobs on my homescreen. this isn’t ok nothing about this is ok if people want **bleep** they should go somewhere else not to spotify where kids and families are also listeners. spotify needs to take control of this.

I tried Spotify for the 1st time several years ago. I stopped using it shortly thereafter because the interface was terrible. I recently picked it up again only to find the interface as bad as before, zero improvement. 

This is hardly a new issue, this is quite old. It's clear that Spotify does not prioritize the user experience. I'm not a big fan of Pandora but their interface is far better and so I keep coming back to it instead. 

I'm tired of the awkward interface and suggestions that I can not clear from the start screen. My daughter asked me to consider Spotify Premium but after seeing this issue drag on for at least 5 years with no consideration, I am done with it. I write this with the hope this will change but it's clear you could not care less about irritating your users. I'm certainly not going to pay for a service that does that. I barely use it when it's free, why would I pay for it?

How long do you plan on reinforcing the perception that your team is incompetent at UX design?

Would be great to downvote terrible suggestions that Spotify shows over and over that I hate seeing (probably because these content creators pay Spotify to do this to me). I’ve even tried rating a podcast 1-star so I never have to see that suggestion again. Guess what, I still see it on my Home Screen as a suggestion. Come on

I understand if Spotify wants to advertise to make more money (even tho I pay for premium). Fine. But why do you insist on showing me a podcast that I rated as 1-star? Every.single.day. Just get it off my screen 😭😭😭 I signed up for Apple Music because of this
