This is not a new idea, but I haven't found any practical reply to it, so I think it needs to be repeated. I completely agree with Rennestein (screen capture below), we need to stop seeing irrelevant suggestions because it is annoying. Why can't it be possible to decide what we first see when we open Spotify on any device? (playlists, recently played, artists we're following, etc), and enjoy better our Spotify experience?
Please Spotify, let us have the home screen as we'd like. :)) Thank you!

This is why our very clear and important suggestions have a 0.1% chance of implementing any sort of change. Money and popularity DOES distract companies. Look at Netflix. It just lost over a million subscribers in the past few months and now their going to introduce ads and charge fees for sharing your Netflix password! Companies NEED to really pay attention to what their fans want or they will eventually be another MySpace.

hold said podcast down, a list should appear with the option “not interested in this episode” or something similar. that removes it from your homepage for 90 days. Hope this helps!!

I'm absolutely not interested in Podcasts at all. As a matter of fact, I sincerely dislike them. If want to hear uninteresting people talking, I'd turn on the radio. If I'm interested in stuff, I go to wikipedia or search the internet. I'm here for the music. Podcasts are why I don't pay for my Spotify and just use an add blocker to skip the ads. I don't want to get stuff showed in my face, which a company says "you must consume". We don't live in Russia! I don't want podcasts and never will and therefore I will not pay.

I've been all over the IOS interface when it opens up. Nothing there either.

I just use the free tier when I need something that I don't have on alternative platforms and pay them now.

Since Spotify does not give a %@#$ about their paying users and keep recommending garbage I officially cancelled my subscription just like many other users on here... I mean seriously! I never ever listened to podcasts I happily paid your subscription because I only listen to music so why the $%#@ give me podcast recommendation?? $%#@ you Spotify I'd rather keep my money than give it to an inconsiderate $%$# piece of %$#$ company like you... have a good @#$%^& day!

This needs to be a priority. I'm tired of seeing content that I have zero interest in pop up on my home screen with no control over it. Let me choose or hide what appears when I open up the app (desktop, mobile).

I left Spotify for the same exact reasons mentioned. Spotify is pushing offensive content on our home screen that we are not allowed to block or get rid of.

if you insist on showing podcasts at least let me remove ones that I absolutely have no interest in. Why are you shoving this down my throat?

Can Spotify even explain the random albums and playlists that are apparently stuck on my home page forever, even as I have listened to them maybe once? I'm not even looking for major customization, but simply the capacity to remove things they place there. It should be stupidly easy.
