Search box on desktop

When i try to use the search box, it keeps giving me a message, "Your search did not match anything in our catalogue.  Please ensure all words are spelled correctly.  You could also try different or similar searches."   It happens no matter what I type in the box.  I sent this information to Spotify, but whoever it went to apparently didn't read what I said because when I received a reply, they didn't even address this issue.  I don't want to reinstall because the last time i did this after their recommendation, it took them a month to get my music back.
