Song restarting when pausing during Jam

My Question or Issue

When I invite to a jam and another user joins the songs restarts whenever something is done like pausing or jumping to a specific segment of the song, for the other person in the jam. In this case the other person was on a Macbook and both are running the latest version of spotify.

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. 

Just to confirm, is this only happening to the other person that joined your Jam, or is this also happening to you as the host? 

It'd be a good idea to perform a clean reinstall on the affected device to see if it makes any difference. This is often an overlooked step, but it can be helpful to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

You could also try joining a Jam using a different device to see if the same thing happens.
