My Question or Issue
I just plugged in my UMC404HD audio interface to my speakers (BEHRINGER MS40s) - this is all connected via USB to my PC. Every other programme/website outputs stereo, except for Spotify. It even gave me an error at some stage "Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it." I disabled 'Enable hardware acceleration' under Compatibility in advanced settings but still problems persist - either error described above or only left speaker output. Not a cable issue, tested everything.

While I was waiting for a response I decided to try the drivers from Behringer's website. I downloaded UMC-Driver_4-59-0 and now both channels work! This version also installed the UMC Control Panel. The issue appears resolved. Thanks imHarrison!

Simple solution:
i went to the Manage Sound devices menu, then i disable the speakers and enable them back again and it worked.
Agree, mine runs through top end Motu interfaces.with everything a usb feed into the Interface and out to three different amped set ups. I watch the gain meters and spottify is always dead or very low on the right channel. Replaced feed cords but they are all high end xlr commercial grade for the various outbounds (pa, foh, monitor etc). All other audio source play fine and use pure ASIO drivers (not the ASIO4ALL).
So totally different set up but exact problem. In fact it replicates on every laptop and desktop all drivers kept up to date and bloatware gone. typical specs of the pcs
Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700K 3.60 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor, SSD disks. The startup parameter looked interesting but seems Spotify has moved it (or hidden it).
Next debug step is to run both chanels into one ouput feed and see if the issue travels with that congi
