Sponsored Messages (ads) stops playing

Everytime this happens, everything just stops, you can't play anything else and this message just stays but nothing plays so I can move to the next song. I have to quit and restart spotify. 

This problem is just recent. When this happens, how do I resume the play without exiting the program?

I couldn't give a like, but am having the same problem.  Spotify, is this your sneaky way of forcing us to get Spotify Premium?

I saw that it has happened before and they said to update it/reinstall. I just did this and it keeps doing it. Is there a fix yet?

Apparently this isn't a priority for them. The ad stopping the music doesn't happen frequently but it happens sporadically. Well, just like any billion dollar companies, they could care less about minute issues like this since we're not paying.
