Spotify suddenly slows down the playback speed of the next song in queue. I can revert the playback speed by clicking on the next/previous button then switching back to the slowed down song. Current Spotify version is 1.1.43.700.g20acee0f.

Hey @xsire,
Thank you for your post and for the provided screenshot. We're happy to assist you.
We've released a later version for the desktop app. We suggest that you perform a clean reinstall of the app to make sure there's no old cache files causing this.
Can you also try with another internet connection to see if the issue persists?
If the suggestions above doesn't do the trick - would you mind logging in with another account on the device this occurs on - such as a friend's or a family member's to see if they have the same experience?
Keep us posted 🙂
Cheers!
Is there any fix for this? using current version, new install (today), even tried to downlaod the tracks, but same issue, speeds up and slows down all in the space for a few seconds, it's all over the palce, ended up turnign it off, its pointless when it has these fits...
Hi there @spotarden,
Thanks for posting and welcome to the Community.
Could you try logging out, restarting your device and router, and logging back in?
If the issue persists, can you let us know if this is happening with a specific song or if it's rather random? We'd also like to know if it's happening in any other devices where you use the app.
Keep us posted.
Hi I have the same error on the iPhone version of the app. I have already the updated to the last version available and the songs are downloaded. So this is not an connection problem.
Hi @NixBure,
Thank you for posting on this thread.
If your app is up to date and the issue is still present, we suggest you run a clean reinstall with these steps. They are very thorough and can get rid of any damaged file.
If the issue persists after that, can you log in with another account, such as a friend's or a family member's to see if the issue persists? Alternatively, you can create a free account here, just make sure you're logged out of your own account before creating a new one.
Let us know how this goes.
Obviously this support is DogPúop. Ive also had the issue - I think artists may be able to change tempos, track listing order, remove songs completely, etc. interesting nonetheless.
