After updating my Spotify Desktop player, my Recently Played Artist list has not updated in a week or so. Spotify on my Android phone seems to be similarly affected as well. As my Recently Played Artists usually updates quite swiftly, this lag is worrying me a little - especially since I've been listening to a number of different artists for quite long periods of time. Can anybody provide a solution to this? Thank you!
To be honest I didn't even know there was a feature to hide (hide the Recently Played Artists I assume you're saying?). But I HIGHLY doubt that this was an intentional disactivation of the RPA refreshing/updating every couple days... surely Spotify knows that many, many people love that feature and wouldn't cancel it unannounced (I hope they wouldn't at least...)

Hey Everyone. I play Spotify on my phone and my computer with the web player as well as other computers online. The only place my Recently Played Artists are updating is on my phone. I have tried updating my settings and simultaneously signing out of my account everywhere and restarting my devices but the problem isn't going away. It's been over a month now and it's super annoying because I used the Recently Played Artists to find who I want to hear quickly. Anyone have advice on how to fix this?
Mine hasn't updated in a few weeks either, very annoying.
Same here, it updates in the android phone app but not in the windows desktop program.
Hi Erica, unfortunately we're all still waiting to hear from Spotify as to how this can be fixed. I've been emailing them for the last day, and basically all they have told me to do is uninstall and reinstall Spotify (which I did 3 weeks ago... and nothing changed). Once they told me to do that and I told them I already had, they stopped responding to my emails. So we're all just sort of waiting to see...

Awesome, thank you Meredith. As mentioned above, the tech support was helpful to a point - but a clean reinstallation after erasing the cache didn't do anything.
Look, I'm sure you're trying, but I really doubt you guys are going to do anything. This has been a problem forever and it makes me think you're doing it on purpose.
Why is it that you guys can keep track of listening history (go to play queue > click history tab), but you can't take that list and make it show up in my "recently played artists?" Last.fm can do it. Why can't you?
When I google this, I can see it has been a problem for years. You've never fixed it. You guys don't know what you're doing.
Sometimes, I access the Artists for the Menu Following, on my profile.
Before, I clicked on the profiles of bands, appears a profile with a option "discography". And it goes to the artists' pages.
now, in the app for Android, don't go directly and don't appears the discography, just the profiles.
