Spotify Windows Desktop app claims to be offline

Hi there,

I'm using Spotify Windows Desktop app (1.0.75.483.g7ff4a0dc) on my office laptop. I need to use the proxy settings to get Spotify to work, and before the current version things worked fine. 

 

But after updating to the current version, Spotify works the first time I try it after a fresh install, but if I restart my laptop or put it into hibernation and wake it up, the app claims to be offline (error code: 4). Re-entering the proxy and login credentials don't work. 

 

But if I uninstall and reinstall the app, things work again till the next hibernation/restart.

 

Please help.
