My Question or Issue
Okay so, I have tried both the website and app on this Chromebook I just got from my bf's sister. It keeps skipping songs, like it'll play for maybe 2 seconds and skip to the next n repeat. Then sometimes when I finally get it to pause then push play again it will play until maybe 7-9 seconds then the music will shut off completely but the time on the song would keep going.
I have tried deleting cache, going into incognito, emptying storage, deleting the app and reinstalling.. I have zero clue how to fix this.
Someone please help me...
Hi there @CuriousKitt,

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.
Keep us posted.
Same here. It starts but then it doesn't work.
App and website runs but i can't hear music and podcast. If I try to listen to with other apps (YT, Amazon Music, Spreaker,...) it works, so it's nota device problem
I'm having a similar issue. The app will open but it's blank. I've reinstalled it and it works after the reinstallation. But after that, it won't load up properly anymore.
Same here. The app seems to have some difficulties loading anything from the servers and just sits blank.
It works fine on my Android phone, but no dice with a Chromebook. I wonder if an update broke functionality for chromeOS?

Also, are there any apps/settings that might be blocking Spotify? If so, make sure you add it as an exception. If you're using a VPN, I'd suggest disabling it. Make sure you're running the latest driver updates as well.
Lastly, if you're able to set up Linux on your Chromebook, it's worth installing the Linux app instead to see if everything looks good there.
Let us know how it goes 👍
When this problem occurs, youŕe not able to select the settings. Therefore users are not able to go into the proxy setting. I think there are a lot of issues with the combination Chromebook and spotify. To suggest to use Linux is something that an experienced user can do. But most users pay quite some money for an account and the it does not work. I think Spotify should really take this serious and look into it quickly..
