Spotify app and website not working on Chromebook

My Question or Issue

Okay so, I have tried both the website and app on this Chromebook I just got from my bf's sister. It keeps skipping songs, like it'll play for maybe 2 seconds and skip to the next n repeat. Then sometimes when I finally get it to pause then push play again it will play until maybe 7-9 seconds then the music will shut off completely but the time on the song would keep going. 

I have tried deleting cache, going into incognito, emptying storage, deleting the app and reinstalling.. I have zero clue how to fix this.

Someone please help me...

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please provide us the following:

  • Is this on all your devices or only on the Chromebook? 
  • Did the Spotify work properly on the Chromebook before you started using it?
  • Does this same issue occur on all networks? If you haven't tried with different networks, please do so. 
  • Is all content on Spotify affected in the same way?
  • Screenshots or a video of the behaviour

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.
