Spotify application not responding!

Whenever i log on to Spotify it says "The Spotify application is not responding." I get it every time when i try to log on. Also i got some other errors. ever since the newest update spotify has been crazy wierd. when i click the x button to close spotify the music keeps going till the song is over then it stops. alsoads do not paly they just dont play and i have to restart spotify. when i do this it goes to random song thats not on my playlist. ok back to the original problem. it never stops really. every time it says Spotify is not responding. please help 😄
