My Question or Issue

I just got a PC a couple days ago and the first thing I downloaded was Spotify. Went to their website and downloaded the most recent version for Windows. When I tried to play a song, I got an error reading "Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer, you can import it". I've read everything I can find on Spotify's community page, reddit, youtube, ect. I've disabled hardware acceleration. I've cleared cache. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled Spotify. Logged out and back in. Restarted the computer. Messed with firewall settings. Ive tinkered around with output settings. Nothing.

Soundcloud works. Youtube works. All other sound works. If I play it from my macbook pro (same account), it works fine. I can even change/select the music playing on my macbook from the PC. But once I switch it back to PC on Spotify, the sound stops.

This is a brand new $2,200 pre built computer. I should be able to take it out of the box and listen to Spotify without knowing code and reading through 100's of threads.

Someone please help me. I'm loosing my mind.

Hey @OGWileyG,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

The most common reason for this error is the sample rate for the output.

Here is a similar thread, where there are hints on what to look for when changing the sample rate.

Let us know if this brought any change,

Cheers!
