My Question or Issue

Spotify works fine when using my Thinkpad's built-in speakers, but when using my USB audio interface (a U-Phoria UMC404HD), it just skips every song. Other audio software works fine, so the problem seems to be Spotify-specific, however Spotify also works fine my Dell XPS-15 with the same OS and USB interface, so maybe there's a Thinkpad-specific component as well somehow.

The closest thing I could find to my issue here was this post, where the OP says they encountered this problem with any sample rate higher than 192khz and worked around it by lowering the rate in the advanced settings for the driver. Unfortunately my driver is already set to use 44.1khz, and I don't have the option to change it (the dropdown where you'd normally be able to change it is greyed out).

If anyone can help me solve this, or at least get the issue somewhere a Spotify engineer might see it, I would greatly appreciate it.
