Spotify desktop 1.1.47.684 cannot connect to the internet

Spotify desktop 1.1.47.684 cannot connect to the internet

I have just upgrade Spotify Desktop on Windows 10 to the latest version, and now the app cannot connect to the internet! It shows in the bottom a "Offline" message, and at the top "No internet connection detected. Spotify will automatically try to reconnect when it detects an internet connection (error code:4)".

This is a bug and wrong information, as everything else works well, including open.spotify.com. In fact I am typing this from the same computer.

I have tried rebooting, running the windows network troubleshooter, restarted the routers and wifi, reset the windows 10 network adapter. No success.

How can I revert to the previous bug-free version?

Hi there @DJFuerte,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Have you tried running a clean reinstall of the app? This includes deleting the app cache, which can sometimes cause issues if corrupted.

Follow the steps from this Spotify Answer exactly to perform the clean reinstall.

Let us know how things look like afterwards. We'll be on the lookout for your reply 🙂
