Spotify for Windows – Discography view

Spotify for Windows – Discography view

Plan

Premium Duo

Version

Spotify for Windows version: 1.2.95.453.g0eeebbed (64-bit)

Country

Greece

Operating System

Windows 11 Home 64 bit, Version 25H2, OS build 26200.8875

My Question or Issue

When I go to an artist's Discography and click "Show all", all the tracks from each album are displayed underneath the album cover.

What I would like is to see only the albums (cover + title) in the Discography, without the individual tracks being displayed. Then, after clicking on an album, I would like to see the full album view with its individual tracks.

I remember that there used to be an option to choose between different views (e.g. Grid/List), which allowed this.

Interestingly, the Spotify Web Player still displays the Discography the way I want it to: only the albums are shown, and the tracks appear after clicking on an album.

Is there currently any way to restore this behaviour in the Windows application?

Hi @Dionysis,

Thanks for reaching out.

Yes, it is possible to have whichever look you prefer! When you have an artist's discography open, in the top right you'll see the sorting options - Release Date, Name, etc. When you click that, you'll also be given the different view options - List or Grid. List is what you have now, the albums followed by the list of songs, while Grid is the one you're looking for where only the album covers and titles are displayed. While you do change this in the discography of an artist, this is a global setting that changes how all discographies appear, it's not a per artist setting.

Hope this clears things up.
