My Question or Issue

Since about a week or so I've been facing an extremely perplexing issue with my Spotify. I use the spotify desktop version, not the online browser version, for clarification. Whenever I skip songs, sometimes three skips, sometimes four skips, sometimes just one skip, I get booted to the Windows sign in screen. I've noticed it'll happen sometimes if I just click play on a playlist. I'll still have everything pulled up when I sign back in, the music doesn't even stop, but I get kicked to the sign in screen.

So far I've tried disabling hardware acceleration, and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program itself, but I'm still having the issue. Those are the only two things I've tried since I'm kind of at a loss on what to do further.

Thank you.

Hey @theinteldoge,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

The issues during playback are commonly related to some damaged cache stored on your PC. We understand you’ve already tried some troubleshooting steps including reinstalling, but to be sure that we're on the same page - did you use the steps for a clean reinstall mentioned in this article?

If so, and the issue persists, it would be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your PC - such as a friend or a family member, to see if it happens as well. If not, we'd recommend following the security process mentioned in this article under the section "Still have access to your account?" to make sure that your account has no one else logged in that might be interfering with usual behavior of the app.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.
