Spotify freezes after pc suspend or when default playback device changed

My Question or Issue

I have been using Spotify for years, but recently it started to misbehave. Each time something is changed in audio devices e.g. I connect a USB headset spotify stops reacting to controls. File-Exit also won't work. The only thing that works it to kill 4 spotify processes with Task Manager and restart. 

I already tried to uninstall/install, I also disabled "hardware acceperation". None helped.

Have been having the same issue for several weeks. Any time I change the default playback device, including when If I undock/redock my computer, it happens.

Spotify seems operational, but nothing plays and the playback controls have no effect. At one point it would get stuck and start playing the same .5 seconds of a song in a loop, but that has not happened more recently.

Just tried uninstalling/reinstalling, but that did not help.

I would like to report the issue is gone now. I have done nothing. I just noticed I can change default sound device and nothing freezes. Current Spotify version 1.1.1.348.g9064793a
