My Question or Issue

When I play something on my phone or my laptop (not the pc I'm having problems with), the desktop app does not register that I am using another device, and on the working devices my desktop does not appear in the UI that allows me to change the device the music is playing on. The web player on the same desktop works just fine though? I've tried clearing cookies and doing a complete fresh reinstall. Fixes?

Hi, glad you asked in the community!

 

There seem to be sync issues with the signed-in devices. Worry not, there is a quick fix for this. Head over to Spotify.com and sign in to your account. Scroll down on your account details page and click Sign out Everywhere. This will log you out of every device you are currently logged into.

Log in again and check if the device sync is working properly. Remember that you would need to redownload your library on all devices. Let us know how it goes.
